Conference and recreation in a classic ironfoundry setting

Gålsjö Bruk was founded in 1704 and at that time it was the sounds from the smithy and the iron foundry´s great hammer which characterised this beautiful setting.

Three hundred years later there is still life and movement at Gålsjö Bruk, but today most guests gather here for conferences in this classic Swedish industrial environment.

Others come here to fish or hunt moose, to enjoy the tasty food or just to take a peaceful walk through the historically interesting grounds.

We have 100 beds at Gålsjö, and you can choose for example to stay in the red wooden buildings along the main street of Bruksgatan or in the carefully restored manor house dating from 1813.

The smithy still exists and you can make your own door hasp there under the guidance of our on-site smith.

After dinner or exercise you can relax in front of the fire with a cold beer or a glass of wine. Or why not sink down into the wood-fired bathtub and then stretch out onto a bench in the wilderness sauna?

Gålsjö Bruk is situated in the heart of the Ångermanland forest, and offers a unique experience for guests who want to relax from the pressure of working life. During the dark autumn and winter evenings it is also the perfect spot to solve the world´s problems.

It is our ambition that you will always leave this beautiful setting with a desire to come back soon.
